Listen To “The Piano Guys” Take You Through 50 Years Of Batman

What?! The plans you refer to will soon be back in our hands. In my experience, there is no such thing as luck. I’m trying not to, kid.

Jedi Academy

Don’t act so surprised, Your Highness. You weren’t on any mercy mission this time. Several transmissions were beamed to this ship by Rebel spies. I want to know what happened to the plans they sent you. Escape is not his plan. I must face him, alone. Hey, Luke! May the Force be with you. What!? As you wish. Look, I can take you as far as Anchorhead. You can get a transport there to Mos Eisley or wherever you’re going.

  • I don’t know what you’re talking about. I am a member of the Imperial Senate on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan–
  • Hey, Luke! May the Force be with you.
  • I’m trying not to, kid.
  • He is here.
  • Hey, Luke! May the Force be with you.

The Empire Strikes Back

As you wish. I suggest you try it again, Luke. This time, let go your conscious self and act on instinct. He is here.

Jedi Academy

Obi-Wan is here. The Force is with him. Don’t underestimate the Force. Hey, Luke! May the Force be with you. Hey, Luke! May the Force be with you. I want to come with you to Alderaan. There’s nothing for me here now. I want to learn the ways of the Force and be a Jedi, like my father before me. What good is a reward if you ain’t around to use it? Besides, attacking that battle station ain’t my idea of courage. It’s more like…suicide.

  1. Dantooine. They’re on Dantooine.
  2. What good is a reward if you ain’t around to use it? Besides, attacking that battle station ain’t my idea of courage. It’s more like…suicide.
  3. I suggest you try it again, Luke. This time, let go your conscious self and act on instinct.
The Phantom Menace

I can’t get involved! I’ve got work to do! It’s not that I like the Empire, I hate it, but there’s nothing I can do about it right now. It’s such a long way from here. Don’t underestimate the Force. Don’t underestimate the Force.

Attack of the Clones

Still, she’s got a lot of spirit. I don’t know, what do you think? Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid. As you wish. In my experience, there is no such thing as luck. Remember, a Jedi can feel the Force flowing through him.

Steps Ian H Watkins and Partner Craig Ryder Announce Birth of Gorgeous Twin Boys!

Huge congratulations to Ian H Watkins and his partner Craig Ryder, who have just become the very  proud parents of twins!! Yet  unnamed the pair  are  going by the names of “A” and “B” (let’s hoping that those aren’t their names with their daddy having been known as “H” for most of his career!

In all seriousness, huge congratulation to the couple. It’s been a long journey for the pair with their first attempt at becoming parents ending in tragedy when their surrogate miscarried back in 2012. We’re so happy that this time round everything has  culiminated in the birth of two very gorgeous boys, who  we are sure are going to provide their fathers with hours of joy (alongside all of the nappy changing!!)

If you didn’t catch their pregnancy announcement video a few months back, then you should check it out. It’s definitely one of the cutest we’ve seen in a long time!

Parent Facing Double Pushchairs: The Definitive Guide

Parent Facing Double Pushchairs

It has long been the tradition that pushchairs have been built with the seat facing outwards. It allows your child to see what’s going on in the world, to learn about the environment around them. It doesn’t though allow that all important bonding, especially from a young age, that needs to occur between mother / father and child, a weakness that has lead to a growth in the parentt facing pushchair.

Designed predominantly for use between the ages of 0 to 9 months, it’s all about allowing your baby to make eye contact with you, something that we know you are aware is one of the most critical things in the early months. It also makes it a lot easier for them to be able to hear what you’re saying when you’re out and about. Settling them also can be a lot quicker as you don’t need to stop the pushchair to look at them to talk to them, stopping that motion that often helps them drift off.

And let’s be honest, there’s also nothing like being able to see your baby’s face as you are moving along.

But isn’t looking at you all of the time a bad thing? Do they not need to be able to see around them as much as they need to see you? Well the truth is that with these pushchairs, it isn’t really an all or nothing option. Most pushchairs are designed to allow the seat to easily modified to go from parent facing to outwardly facing with a mere few steps when you want to make the change.

Should that change be from day one?

In most cases, no. When your baby is very young, the truth is that they’re not really interested in anything, but you. However, as they get older you’ll become aware they are just as interested in seeing what everyone else is doing. When you stop being their favourite thing… well that’s the time to switch over. Make sure to do it gradually though, it can be tough for your baby to go from seeing you all the time to not seeing you at all!

The truth is thought with double pushchairs the options are a lot less limited than with a single buggy. To try and make the search easier for you we’ve put together a list of the best options currently available on the market and will be adding to it as more options appear. If you have come across an option we haven’t listed then let us know and we’ll make sure it gets added.

Discover The best Double Buggy Car Seat Option For You RIGHT Now

Double Buggy Car Seat Options

If you’re a family who travels  a lot then it’s likely that you’re going to be faced with one particular issue multiple times  – do you wake  up the baby when you get  to your destination and need to put them in the buggy  or do you leave them and wait till they wake up?

The truth is neither option is  particularly good. Option 1 means you could end up with a screaming baby who takes hours to settle down properly  and the latter leaves you trapped, not knowing when you’re ever going to be able  to get out of the car.

It’s one of the reasons that we always recommend buying a twin pushchair that has been designed to allow parents to fix car seats to the frame. This means that there’s none of that  lifting in and out of one seat into another, keeping the chance of waking them up a lot lower and we can all agree that can only be a good thing.

The downside is  that currently not all  twin pushchairs offer this  option, so to make life easier, we’ve put together a quick list of the double buggies that do allow car seats to be attached, and where possible the type  of car seat  that fits with the stroller. If you know of any others then feel free to drop us an email, or hook up with us on social media and we’ll get it added to the list!

How Can I Get Mould Off My Pushchair?

how-to-remove-mould-from-a-pushchair

Tell me if this sounds familiar… You tell your other half that it isn’t a good idea to leave the pushchair in the damp garage / shed as it’s just going to go mouldy in there. They promise you that it isn’t and everything is going to be just fine.

Cue a few months later when you need to use the pushchair again… and guess what. It’s got mould all over it! You could just strangle them couldn’t you!

Your first thought is likely to be for your child. You’re a great parent and you don’t want anything that  could harm them near them… and top of that list is mould. The thing is  though that this pushchair was really expensive, and with all the other expenses of having children you don’t have the spare cash to go buying new ones.

Don’t worry!

We can’t  promise it’s going to be the most fun that you’ve ever had, but the good news is that in most cases your pushchair is salvageable… and it’s probably going to come out of this looking better than it ever has. All you need is some elbow grease, a bath and a relatively warm day to ensure everything gets the chance to dry out!

Our Tips For Removing Mould From Your Pushchair Fabric

  1. Take off any fabric that you can remove from the main stroller frame.
  2. Mix some biological washing powder with water in the bath and  leave it to soak for 30 minutes.
  3. Wipe down the covers. If there’s any mould remaining then try scrubbing the fabrics to remove it.
  4.  If the mould is being  persistent then you can either try a watered down bleach solution of a mould remover (Dettol Mildew and Mould Remover has worked well for us).
  5. For any mould on the remaining fabric / frame  we first try the bio washing and then quickly  move onto the mould remover and a good scrubbing brush.
  6.  Finish off with a quick spray with the jet washer (if you have one) to remove any last traces of mould!

If you’ve done all this and are still not happy then we’d recommend getting in touch with the manufacturer of your stroller. Most offer replacement covers so if it’s only those that are the problem then you should be able to get new ones pretty quickly!

If you’ve got any additional tips on how to remove mould from your pushchair liners and fabric we’d love to hear them and will add them in. In the meantime we found that there were a number of Youtubers who had faced similar problems and have popped up their own guides which we’ve included below:

Five Twin Pushchairs With Car Seats Guaranteed To Make Your Life Easier

With relatives and friends dotted all over the place, you know that you’re going to be doing a fair bit of travelling in the car with your twins. This means on top of all the clothing, items for the home and the all important double stroller, you’re going to need to some car seats as well.

It’s all becoming all a little bit expensive and you’d love to be able to save some cash, but at the end of the day the thing that is most important to you is that your babies are going to safe, and you’ll do nothing to compromise that… and that’s what is going to make you such an awesome parent.

The good news though is that there are some ways to save some money without compromising on anything to do with quality and security – and that’s buying a twin stroller and car seats combo.

More commonly known as a travel system, the basic principle is that the car seats are designed to not only be used in the car, but also as the seating on the buggy frame itself.

Our Top Five Twin Strollers With Car Seats

Grace Stadium Duo Pushchair and Car Seat

Graco Stadium Duo Travel System

A tandem style stroller, the Graco Stadium Duo has been designed to make your life as easy as possible, from the one handed steering to the easy one hand fold action that ensures getting this pushchair around is easy.

Designed with a four seat recline to the back seat and a two seat recline to the front, the ease of sterring is helped by the locable swivel wheels, while the front wheel suspension gives the whole thing a super smooth ride.

Other notable features include play trays to ensure your littles ones always have something to do, detachable hoods to keep them dry and a shopping basket with plenty of room for all those purchases and must haves you need to take with you.

Suitable for use from birth in the rear seat, the front seat is best for 6 months upwards.

The completion of the travel system is with the Graco Junior Baby Car Seat. A Group 0+ rearward facing baby car, it can be used from birth to 12/15 months and comes with side impact protection and a rapid harness adjustment features that ensures your baby is always safe and secure. Add to that the adjustable push handle and you have a pushchair that’s a joy to push however short or tall you might be.

Safety is a huge thing with this Hauck design, from the closed rear wheels and ovcelying guard plates to ensure no little fingers can touch the back wheels to the 5 point harnesses that hold your babes firmly in place and the double acting lock brake to stop in milliseconds.

In terms of practicality, both seats are adjustable to allow your kids to be comfortable, whether awake or asleep, and they are well protected from the elements with the extendalbe canopy which comes with viewing windows to stop them feeling in the dark.

There’s plenty of room in the shopping basket for all the essentials, and with the addition of the car seat with it’s shock-absorbing PU foam and the 3-point belt, this really does offer the perfect system for families on the go.

Graco Trekko Tandem

Graco Trekko Duo

Another sporty little number designed to make sure you’re always ready to go is the Trekko Duo Tandem. Designed to easily shift from double buggy to single stroller, this pushchair is not only a great looking item, but also one that has practicality as it’s main priority.

Designed with a three position recline to the front seat (which can easily be adjusted with one hand), the rear removable seat offers slightly less options with a two recline settings, but it’s still more than enough to keep both kids happy.

The wheels have both lockable and swivel properties to make steering easy, and with an ergonomic handle that can be adjusted to suit your height, it’s defintely one of the nicest and easiest to push. Thanks also to the addition of a raincover you can be assured whether it’s protection from the wind or the rain, this pushchair has you covered.

The car adapters allow you to also use Maxi Cosi or Be Safe infant carriers, and thanks to the multiple seating options you can either have your babies looking towards or away from you… oh, and did we mention there is a 5 recline option… this really is five star life!

Everything You Need To Know Before Buying A Double Buggy for A Toddler and Newborn

You’re excited about the impending birth of your new baby. The room just about ready, and with a toddler already, you’re lucky to be in the position where you’ve probably got most of the clothes and nother newborn baby must-haves that you need.

There’s one thing though that’s worrying you. The buggy.

With one kid it’s been fine, but now you’ve got a second on the way you’re struggling to work out what the best move to make is. You know your toddler is going to be walking a far bit more now, but the truth is they’re still young, and they’re going to need somewhere to sit while you’re out and about just as much as your newborn.

You’ve started looking, but now you’re seriously confused. Everything you read is recommending something different, and it’s a pretty big purchase, so you don’t want to be getting this wrong.

Questions To Consider When Buying A Double Buggy for Your Newborn and Toddler

There are a few things that you are going to want to think about before you even start looking. The first is how you want your children to be seated. There are two options here. The first is that the kids can be positioned side by side. This is what is commonly known as a twin pushchair. The other alternative is to have the seats placed one behind the other. This is called a tandem pushchair.

The Twin Vs Tandem Debate

Choices, choices! Time to do a quick look at the pros and cons of both.

Twin Pushchair Pros:

  • Interaction: This style allows the kids to sit next to each other, this is great when the age difference between the two isn’t that large as it gives them an excellent opportunity to interact with each other.
  • Feeding on the go – There are always going to be times when it’s not possible to stop and find somewhere to sit down with the kids to eat, but they need that little bit of fuel to keep them going. With a twin pushchair, it’s easy to stop and feed both of them quickly.  In contrast, with a tandem, one ends up having to wait, or you need to be some sort of octopus to be able to feed that at the same time.
  • Easy To Manoeuvre –  Due to the weight being distributed more evenly across the frame with the seats being next to each other, this style of buggy tends to be a whole lot more easy to get up and over those kerbs and lumps and bumps in the road.

Twin Pushchair Cons:

  • Size: The biggest issue with the twin pushchair is that because the seats are next to each other, it makes it fairly wide. This can be something of a downside if you live in a village where shops tends to be in older buildings and have narrow doorways. It also can mean that you often have to leave the pushchair outside as it’s impossible to get the kids in it and out of the front door.
  • Seat Sizing – There are very few twin buggies that cater for a wide age gap between the two children as the designers tend to want to keep the seats the same size. This means that you are rather limited on choice for those that cater for both newborns and toddlers.

Tandem Pushchair Pros:

  • Size:  Having the kids one behind each other means that the tandem design is a lot narrower. This makes a whole lot easier to  get through small spaces, something which is a huge plus if a lot of the shops you’ll frequent have older style doorways which would require you to get the kids out to even get inside
  • Undisturbed Sleep: Having the two kids next to each other is great for bonding between siblings, but if you want one or the other to sleep and they are keeping each other awake then it soon stops being so much of a plus. Having the kids one behind the other allows for much more peaceable sleep periods.

Tandem Pushchair Cons:

  • Length: While the seating might be narrower in width, it gets longer regarding length. This means that you can’t easily just peek around the side to see how the kids are doing. It can also make it harder to get over the bumps, steps and kerbs you come across without a bit of muscle!
  • Wider Seats: Many twin buggies are designed with narrow seats to stop making the twin pushchair too wide. While these tend to be always more than adequate for your young children, the great thing about the tandem is the extra space that the seats have… particularly when you want them to sleep, and they can’t get comfy.
  • Folding – This has got a lot better over recent years, but one of the biggest issues with tandems has been that they can be a little awkward to fold up and store away. Our advice is if you do choose to go with this style that you spend a bit of time practising with it before going out and being stuck in a car park for 3 hours trying to figure it all out!

Our Top Five Twin Buggies for Toddlers and Newborns

Graco Stadium Duo Pushchair – Oxford

Graco Stadium Duo Twin Buggy

One of the most  popular tandem buggies on the market,  the Graco Stadium Duo is perfect if your kids are close together in age. Designed so that your youngest is sat in the back, the front is perfect for six months upwards.

An incredibly well thought out design, this positioning allows your newborn the perfect place  to lay back and sleep  while your toddler has the opportunity to sit up and see what’s going on around them.

We love the 4 position recline of the back seat and how it is Graco car seat compatible, meaning it can easily shift from another tandem buggy to a complete travel system. The front seat has also had a lot of thought go into it with a two position recline ensuring that your toddler is always comfortable.

Sometimes you’ll find that tandems are short on space, but this stroller isn’t with a large shopping basket perfect for extra storage. Regarding practicality, it also gets a big thumbs up wth the front swivel, lockable wheels making it a joy to steer on just about every road surface. The fold up mechanism is top notch, and we were impressed by how small it folded up.  It’s also really sturdy regarding frame and seating with both seats featuring 2 x 5 point harnesses.

Regarding accessories, there’s two separate hoods for the front and the back seats.  Both footmuffs and rain cover are available for use with the Oxford Stadium Duo from Graco, but you will need to buy them separately.

Graco Quattro Tour Duo

Graco Quattro Tour Duo

Perfect for use either with twins or with a newborn and a toddler, the Quattro Tour Duo comes a close second for us. Designed for use with six months and above in the front, the back is perfect for your newborn with it’s  lie back functionality.  One of the narrowest twin strollers on the market, it also is one of the easiest to steer of the tandem buggies.

Designed with numerous safety features to put all good parents minds at rest, the front bumper ensures that there’s no tipping forward out of the pushchair, while the 2×5 point harness keeps both firmly, yet comfortably in place.

Both seats are padded for comfort, with the back offering 4  recline positions and the front offers 2. The addition of the front spring suspension is great for giving a smooth ride, something that makes it a whole lot easier to push and also ensures you’re not going to jolt your babies awake every time you go over a bump.

There’s a large drop down basket for storage and Graco haven’t just thought about the babies either. With a cupholder and storage to the back, they’ve got you and that much-needed take out coffee sorted too.

The thing you’re probably going to love best though is the one-hand gravity fold. Push that and watch the pushchair fold effortlessly down, ready for storage at home or in the car.

Hauck Duett Two Tandem Twin Pushchair

Hauck Duett Two Tandem Pushchair

Differing from most of the tandem buggies on the market with its tandem seating design, the Hauck Duett Two has attempted to get round the issue that most strollers of this design end up seeing the view of the child in the back seat blocked by the front seat.

Achieving this by putting the back seat at a slightly higher position than the front, the buggy is also something of a Transformer. You can remove the second seat completely and the carrycot element can be quickly changed into a sport buggy seat. This means within a matter of moments, your double pushchair can become a pram or a single buggy – a real time and money saver when you want something smaller when only taking one of the kids out.

Steering this is a delight thanks to the lightweight aluminium frame and the swivelling and lockable front wheels. There’s also an adjustable handle design meaning you can change the height to suit you however tall or short you might be.

Safety and security feature big time on this pushchair with the wheel guard on the rear wheels ensuring your child in the second seat doesn’t touch the wheels, and the padded 5-point seat belts, locking brake action on the rear wheels and removable front bar keep everyone safe.

Practicality gets a big thumbs up with the large basket and the rain cover comes as standard meaning you’re not going to have to pay out more to keep baby dry (though having said that some friends in more windy areas have said it’s not as tough as they might like so we’d recommend trying it out for yourself and see if you want to upgrade). The only downside (and we’re struggling to find one is that it can be a little big when folded down if you have a small car or limited storage space.

Graco Trekko Duo Pushchair

A very sporty looking number that reminds us of many of the Phil and Teds buggies, the Trekko Duo pushchair from Graco is a shift from the previous two mentioned with its two-tier design. The other big difference is that seating is switched round with your newborn being put in the front seat and your toddler in the back.

Designed as a three wheeler, this is a pushchair that is more sporty than most of the previous examples but don’t worry you don’t need to be an Olympic athlete to own it. This does work well on less travelled roads, but it’s awesome on the high street and whizzing round town. Oh, and with that amazing one-hand fold you’re not going to be spending hours by the car trying to keep the kids calm and it in the boot ready to head off on your travels either.

Other things that are worth mentioning is the accessories. Both a footmuff and changing bag come as standard, and the whole thing is car seat compatible with  a Junior Baby 0+ car seat making this quite the travel system if you want it to be.

With the second seat removable there’s the option to make the whole thing more streamline if you’re only taking out one kid and thanks to a large shopping basket you’re not going to be short on space when picking up the shopping.

The only downsides are that while it folds down quickly, it’s still on the big side. It’s also not the narrowest of tandems, but unless you live somewhere that has lots of narrow doorways you should be fine!

Graco Ready To Grow Pushchair

Graco Ready To Grow

We know there are a lot of Graco pushchairs on this list, but there’s a reason for that – when it comes to tandem pushchairs, there’s no brand that does these better regarding value for money and variety.

Another car seat compatible setup, the Ready to Grow can easily be turned into a travel system with the purchase of the Junior Baby infant car seat, which will allow you an amazing 12 different combinations for your seating.

As functional as ever, the large storage basket is great, whether it’s for making sure you have somewhere for all the supplies on a day out or to put all the shopping in if you’re planning to dart around town. There’s also the nice addition of a rain cover to keep them dry and not have you having to fork out any more money in the process. We also love the fact that the fabrics used are machine washable meaning you can easily get things cleaned up and ready for use again in no time.

The only downside with this is it’s a little on the large size, especially if you’re limited on storage space in your car or at home.
